My husband Danny and I have built up the Ranch Sorting shows at our place to monthly shows of 200+ teams. I train, show and sell Ranch Sorting Horses. I also teach people to sort as well. For fun, I train cutting horses for myself and a few others.
At Linked D Cowhorses we offer western riding lessons for young children (age 4 and older) or adults of any age interested in learning to ride.
Starting with safety, identifying the horse's body parts, to learning the names of all the tack and how to put it on the horse. Lessons then move on to the basic positioning of your body through the various gates of the horse. Once comfortable "sitting" the horse you will advance to controlling the horse and its position.
We also like to work with the rider on their own horse, teaching you how to make your horse do what you want him to do. Teaching you how to train your own horse.

Mary McGuire-Smith is the Instructor/Trainer at IRIDE. She is the first of Florida's only two American Riding Instructor Association Certified Level III Dressage Instructors.
